Bulbophyllum mentiferum J.J.Sm., 1927

First collected from Mt. Dempo at 1700 m from southern sumatra by expedition E. Jacobson, Ajoeb 28 August 1916; and give a note "flowers white, lip yellow". (Bull. Jard. Bot. Buitenzorg, III, 9: 174 , 1927)

Later collected from Mt. Kerinci, Jambi, at 2200 m, endemic. (J. B. Comber, Orchid of Sumatra 726, 2001).

On June 2012 we collected  specimens c. 10 KM from Mt. Kaba, Bengkulu highland at c. 1140 m above level sea, and we believe and determine as Bulbophyllum mentiferum J. J. Sm. This specimen flowering in cultivation on 23 June 2012 (Tun Jang & Leicneagra).
