Cirrhopetalum medusae var. album Rolfe, 1923

A fascinating Bulbophyllum medusae form alba show to you from specimen collected from rubber plantation in Rokan Hulu, Riau. This specimen capture by Mrs. Shiva Ramli from her  collection, flowering in cultivation on November 2011.

The first introduction for Cirrhopetalum medusae album published in  The Orchid Review V. 31 : 131 (1923). The type is obtanined from Singapore but the present variety is supposed to be a native of Sumatra. Specimen below emphasis the opinion if the type truely native to Sumatra.
