A. Specimens from Kelok Sembilan, West Sumatra.
Grow as lithophyt on the surface of stone as large as cow in the middle of river. The surface is covered with thick moss. Flowering on 22 May 2012 at Shiva Ramli orchid`s garden in Rokan Hulu, Riau.

Inflorescences
from the apex of pseudobulbs which are just starting to develop, entirely  pendulous, the peduncle c. 15 cm long, the rachis zig-zag, c. 30 cm long, bearing numerous flowers place in two rows; floral bracts almost round, shortly apiculate, c. 8 mm long.

Flores
usually pale brown, not opening very widely, about 6.5 mm broad.
Sepals : 
broadly ovate, concave, about 7 mm long by 55 mm broad, the lateral boat-shaped, complete with a keel on the outside.
Petals : 
narrowly lanceolate, acute, forming a helmet together with the dorsal sepal, 7 mm long by 2 mm broad;
Lip :
trilobed, saccate basally, with three yellow ribs on the inside, the side lobe triangular but rounded, the mid-lobe quadrangular in outline, recurved, its apex bilobed;
Column : 
Shortly winged, less than 5 mm long
Note : Flowers color varies from white to brown over its range, flowers no scent at all.

Folia
lanceolate, dark green, tough and leathery, the margins undulate, veru variable in size but to 50 x 8.5 cm, inclusive of the 5 cm long petiole.

Caulis
Pseudobulbs close together, conical-ovoid, with four rounded angles, to 8 x 3.5 cm but frequently smaller, each bearing one leaf.

Distribution: 
In sumatra collected from many provinces, especially from West sumatra, Bengkulu, and Lampung, at from 200 m 1200 m.
