Micropera costulata (J.J.Sm.) Garay, 1972

This is collected from Rokan Hulu, Riau by Mrs. Shiva Ramli. Epiphyt at Wild Mango tree (Mangifera sp) with small fruits.

Characteristic :
peduncle dead green, basal half with purplish brown dots, barcts dirty yellowish green, pedicel ovary light yellowish green with warty dots, flowers wax-yellow, sepals and petals dead insdie, shiny outside, dorsal bordered light brownish yellow inside ligh, light brownish purple inside, lateral sepals bordered light brownish purple, the half turned towards the lip 4 indistinct brownish purple longitudinal stripes, spur with grained brownish purple longitudinal streaks, mouth of spur yellow, column transparently wax-yellow, anther light yellowish brown with a brownish purple streak. Examination Specimens

A. Flores
Mostly waxy - yellow.  Lateral sepals close to a half margin with purple color. Resupinate.


Flores c. 14 mm long by c. 13 mm broad

lateral sepals bordered light brownish purple, the half turned towards the lip

Folia
 In two rows. Almost the same size leaves along the stem. Strap-shape, the apices more or less bilobed with a short spike in the middle, the lobes rounded.
