Basionym Flickingeria kunstleri made from specimen was collected from Perak, Peninsular Malaysia. Our specimen photos sent to me by Mrs. Shiva Ramly yesterday (26 January 2012). The photo content as Flickingeria kunstleri. It is collected from near Maninjau Lake, west Sumatra. This is a rediscovery orchid of sumatra and adding as new record species in genera flickingeria.
Flickingeria kunstleri is fragrant orchid. According to Mrs. Shiva Ramli the fresh bloom only c. 5 hours. After at noon flowers faded as ephemerant orchid. Flower broad c.3 cm. Leaves c 14-18 cm long by 4-8 cm, and pseudobulbs 5-7 cm long.. This data matching with sample data attached in basionym.
